Do not let the exterior fool you. Yes they could clean and wash their sign and make the entry more inviting-but this is part of their appeal. Very small restaurant-bar seating plus 4 tables. I choose to sit at the bar. The barkeep was friendly and knowledgeable of all menus. Started with the cheese board. Very very delicious. The chickpea crepe was delicious as was the octopus. I had ordered the steak and it was very good (loved the mushrooms) but the star of the night for me was the pork chop. The pork chop was cooked to perfection and the side of spicy mustard was the best I have had and worked well with the chop. Seriously-do yourself a favor and order the pork chop.

Transparently, I would give a 4.5/5, but rounding up as I think a 4 is too low. I got there right before 5:30, and there already was a line forming about 3 parties before me. It's a very small spot and they don't take reservations -- get there early!! The service was excellent. The food came quick, and the server was extremely attentive (I'm sure it helps having the place be so small). I really loved sitting at the bar and watching all the food get prepared. I ordered the socca de nice and the hanger steak. GET THE SOCCA DE NICE!! The texture is pillowy and soft with a slight char from the broiler, buttery and a crunch from the flaky salt. It was DELICIOUS. The steak was prepared to the perfect temperature and the onion sauce was spectacular. My one knock was the potatoes were warm at best. They were well cooked, just not the right temperature. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

I have heard and seen the crowds, so I came in mid week just at the time of opening. The gentleman taking my order, as this was a small place, recognized I was new, and answered my questions patiently as he poured me a glass of water. I had the seared scallops. Laid on top of pieces of squash. Seasonal ingredients. I usually am not a fan of squash, but this was really good, and had the consistency of a ripe pear. Not mushy at all. The seared scallops were amazing, swimming in a lightly buttered sauce. The best I ever had.

Really awesome little French restaurant serving no frills, delicious French food. The food here is not fussy, you won't see the chef pull out a pair of tweezers to perfectly garnish a dish (plus there's probably no room even if he wanted to). But oh man, the food is delicious. Hanger steak is of course good but the grilled asparagus may be the best rendition of asparagus I've ever had. Everything here is absolutely packed with flavor. The menu seems to rotate a bit but don't worry, it's all good stuff. Service here was pleasant, but please do note that while it's not slow, food is delivered at a leisurely pace. This is a type of place where you chill for a bit, drink some wine, and catch up with a friend. It's also walk-in only, and there will probably be a wait, but don't worry, it's worth it.
